Ordinary pipe thread lathe Introduction?
The pipe thread lathe generally has a large through hole on the headstock, and the workpiece is passed through the through hole and clamped by two chucks at both ends of the spindle for the rotary motion. There are two ways to feed the tool: one is similar to a conventional lathe that is driven by a screw to move the slide and the knife holder in front of the bed; the other is a flat comb that is located on the slide in the center of the bed. The external thread cutting head (see automatic opening and closing thread cutting head) cuts into the workpiece and is moved forward. Some machines that process long tubes also have workpiece support. The pipe thread lathe has been partially digitally controlled. Each time the workpiece rotates by 1 revolution, the tool moves uniformly according to the number of feed pulses corresponding to the distance of the selected pitch, which is convenient for machining the taper thread, changing the pitch and correcting the pitch error. This type of machine has a workpiece length of up to 15 meters and a diameter of up to 400 mm. Large processing diameter: bed body: 615mm
